Taekwondo is known for its emphasis on kicking techniques, which distinguishes it from other types of martial arts. The rationale is that the leg is the longest and strongest weapon a martial artist has, and so kicks have the greatest potential to execute powerful strikes without successful retaliation.
Physically, Taekwondo develops strength, speed, balance, flexibility and stamina. People of all ages learn Taekwondo. In fact, Taekwondo is one of the few activities where you can train with your children – through our family classes.
