New Class! Little Echidnas, 3:30pm, Fridays
Starts this Friday, 31 October! Book in to secure your child’s place.
Do you have a 3 year old or a young child with special needs who would like to try Taekwondo? Do they like to run, jump and kick? Do they like to have fun trying out new activities, games and equipment? Taekwondo Ipswich has just started a special Taekwondo inspired program for them! Mr Donaldson will be joined by Assistant Instructor, Felicity, who will take this class alongside our beginner students on a Friday at 3:30pm (1 hour class).
If you are interested or know someone who might be, please have them contact Kevin Donaldson on 0429 609 180 as soon as possible to book in (mornings are the best time to call, otherwise leave a message). The next Little Echidnas class will be on Friday, 7 November, 2014. We are keeping numbers small while we develop the program. We hope your little one can be part of it!
Your child’s first lesson is free. You will need to arrive early and fill out a PCYC membership form (even though your membership payment isn’t due at this lesson). PCYC Ipswich offers a trial membership for new members to give their classes a go before purchasing a PCYC membership.
The cost of classes for Little Echidnas will be the same as other classes. Passes will be available if you pay upfront for the remainder of the term (which will work out to be $8/class). Casual price is $11/class. Please discuss available passes with the front office staff as you come in.
Students wear a t-shirt and shorts (or long pants) and bring a water bottle. PCYC Ipswich t-shirts are also available for sale for $2 at the front office.
If your child is 4 years old already, they can go straight into beginner classes, which are offered several times a week in our TKD class timetable.
PCYC Ipswich is located at 1c Griffith Road, Eastern Heights (opposite Ipswich Central State School).

Fundraising Update – WOW!
Thank you to everyone for being so supportive with our fundraising endeavours and Natasha leading our fundraising program!
McDonalds Booval let us know that we made $138 from the in-store sales at our Family Fun Night. With the money raised from the raffle, this makes $269 for the night, which is pretty good for just turning up! Thanks again for supporting us on the night. A good time was had by all!
All 51 Cadbury chocolate boxes were taken and 42 of them have been returned fully sold. We are following up with a few people to get their now outstanding chocolate money. We will be very close to making $1200 – from this initiative which will go towards equipment, assisting (in part) senior students to become accredited instructors and supporting some families (in part) who do not grade because of the costs.
Congratulations to Leanne for winning the $50 Myer voucher kindly donated by the Gibson family and to the Holden family for winning the Fun Ball Pack kindly donated by the Moore family! Enjoy guys!
Helping them achieve their very best!
During classes both Students and Teachers are working hard and their focus is essential to their success. Out of respect for Students and Teachers, we ask that you please refrain from talking to students while they are on the mat.
While it may seem like just a word of encouragement or prompt to remind your own child to do the right thing, it can be very distracting to all students and teachers.
Your understanding and support with this is appreciated!
No Classes on the following Dates
- Monday 10th November – no classes
- Thursday 13th November – no classes
- Friday classes on 14th November will be on as usual, except for ‘Little Echidnas’ (our new program for 3 yr olds)

You are welcome to attend additional classes either before or after these dates in Term 4 to use up your passes. No need to book, just turn up.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Fundraising BBQ @ Woolies Yamanto – Sunday 9th November
A big thanks to Natasha and Shane who have offered to organise our upcoming BBQ at Woolworths.
Everything is done; all we need now are some volunteers to help out on the day by doing a 1 or 2 hour shift between 9:30am – 2:30pm. If you can help us out with this, please let us know at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Funds raised will support a number of fundraising causes in our Club including End of Year Trophies and supporting our students and coach who are going to Adelaide in December for Nationals!
