Thank you also to Grand Master Michael Tan for guiding and assessing students.
An added bonus, we also managed to raise$290.45 for our Club! Job well done!
If you Graded, don’t forget to give Mr Donaldson your Grading Book for signing!
Thank you Mr Donaldson!
I think it’s fair to say it’s been quite a year!
Gradings, Nationals, Tournaments, Little Echidnas, Weapons Training, Student Assessment Sheets, Board Breaking, Fitness Drills, the list goes on! There are also a number of great ideas that are on the drawing board for next year to keep pushing our club onwards and upwards.
For this, a big shout out must go to Mr Donaldson. Every time I talk to him he has a new idea or initiative to support our students and help them become the best they can be.
We had the chance to formally thank Mr Donaldson at the November Grading with a brilliant Black Belt cake and card.
We know not everyone was able to personally sign the card and we apologise for those who missed out. It was a hard job to smuggle it from class to class and try to keep it quiet!
Thank you Mr Donaldson from all of us, for your support and all you have done for our students in 2014.
Mr Donaldson has been invited to Korea next year to complete his 3rd Dan Grading. We have been asked if it is possible for people to make donations towards this. The answer is Yes! If you wish to make a donation to help support Mr Donaldson on this amazing journey, you are welcome to do this either to Mr Donaldson directly or into the Tans account. Please put ‘Korea’ as the online banking reference.

The Little Dragons grading is a great way to build their confidence and celebrate all their hard work.

Successful Fundraising BBQ @ Woolies Yamanto
Thanks to our BBQ volunteers Andy, Leanne, Luke, Nancy, Kaley, Josie and especially Natasha and Shane who organised everything, stayed from beginning to end and kindly donated drinks. We raised $206.25!
While Mr Donaldson was unavailable during the G20 week, a few of our students stepped up to assist or run classes to enable training to continue. A big thank you to Leanne and these other Senior students for working so hard to keep classes running for the week! You did a great job guys and we all appreciate it!
Congratulations to our team that competed at the Sports Taekwondo Australia National Competition on the weekend!
Ashley, Taz and William won Gold Medals
Ryan and Abigail won Silver Medals
All competitors had tough fights and did a brilliant job! Great to hear that you had great team spirit and supported one another so well! We are so proud of your achievements guys! Well done!
A big thank you to Mr Donaldson who was on the go all day supporting our students!
Thank you Shenae for letting us know how the team performed.
It was fantastic to see everyone who made it to our end of year gathering at the park!
It was a great chance to just hang out together, play some touch footy and relax before Christmas.
It certainly was quite warm, but a good time was had by all!
With only a few weeks to go till Christmas, this is our final newsletter for the year. We’d like to thank everyone for their support throughout the year and hope everyone has a safe and relaxing Christmas and New Year! We wish our TKD students (& families) who are leaving Ipswich at the end of this year the very best in their new city/town and hope you find another great Taekwondo Club to join. You will be missed.
Just a reminder that there will be no classes over the Christmas-New Year school holidays
We do however, look forward to seeing everyone back in late January, relaxed, rested and ready to kick!
